Geomembranes

Frequently known within the industry as a liner, a geomembrane is an impervious synthetic material that is used to contain fluids or gasses. Geomembranes primarily serve as a barrier or shield that prevents various contaminates from spilling or leaking into the soil and groundwater. Geomembranes are utilized across various industries including waste management, industrial, energy, oil and gas, agriculture, transportation, and mining. They line landfills, reservoirs, ponds, tanks, canals, dams, sewers, roads, and highways.

PVC Geomembranes

Flexible Polyvinyl Chloride films (PVC) have been used in geomembrane applications for over 60 years. PVC, a flexible, elastic material, offers oil resistance, UV stability, low-temperature protection, and excellent puncture resistance. Utilizing a factory prefabricated PVC geomembrane reduces field seaming and overall construction time, producing cost savings for your project.

Polyethylene Geomembranes

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Geomembranes are the most widely used liners in the world. HDPE liners provide the highest resistance to chemicals and have excellent ultraviolet resistant properties. Polyethylene liners are fusion welded and air pressure tested. LLDPE (Liner Low Density Polyethylene) Geomembranes offer great flexibility in addition to resistance to low temperatures and ultraviolet exposure. LLDPE liners are easier to elongate or adapt to their environment, which allow for higher impact and puncture resistance.

XR-5 Geomembranes

XR-5®, a proprietary resin blend produced by Seaman Corporation for over 40 years, is the highest-strength and most chemically resistant geomembrane on the market. Engineered for the toughest applications, XR-5®contains and protects against acids, oils, methane, and alkalis. Some of these applications include floating covers, leachate ponds, tank floors, process and wastewater ponds, as well as secondary containment. XR-5® is flexible and can be prefabricated in large panels, allowing for efficient installation.

Polypropylene Geomembranes

Polypropylene combines excellent elasticity, elongation, cold temperature stability, UV stability, and chemical defense in one material. Polypropylene allows for some of the most flexible fabricated geomembranes. Large panels can be factory prefabricated for ease of installation.

Hypalon- (CSPE)

CSPE, commonly known as Hypalon, is a reinforced flexible and durable geomembrane that offers excellent resistance to chemicals, temperature, UV degradation, as well as organic and inorganic chemicals. Similar to Polyethylene, PVC, and XR-5®liners, Hypalon is prefabricated in large panels, allowing for swift deployment and time saving installation. Having a long-standing history in the industry, Hypalon has often been specified in the fabrication of floating covers. Ask us which Geomembrane is best suited for your next project

Geocomposites

A Geocomposite is a manufactured material that combines geotexitles and a core geonet. It is engineered to substitute one to two feet of costly, traditional aggregate while producing drainage under various conditions, such as site loads or slopes. Talk to us about our Geocomposites and how we can incorporate them into your next project.

Geosynthetic Clay Liners

Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) combine geotextiles and sodium bentonite clay to form a hydraulic barrier layer equal to two feet of natural clay. Often installed as a secondary or supportive layer to geomembranes, the primary function of a GCL is containment as a barrier to water, leachate or other liquids, and gases. The ability to quickly roll out a factory produced GCL layer provides a significant time and cost savings over natural clay. Ask us if one of our Geosynthetic Clay Liners is suited for your next project.

Geotextiles

Geotextiles are permeable fabrics made from chemically-resistant synthetic fibers. They are engineered for filtration, soil stabilization, separation, erosion control, drainage and gas transmission, cushion and liner protection applications. Geotextiles provide exceptional durability along with high-puncture resistance, transmissivity, and permittivity. Ask us how geotextiles would be a good fit for your next project.
